"My parents are from Austria, I was born in Switzerland and grew up in Germany. Now I am residing in Swakopmund, at the coast of Namibia.

From high school on, I was hooked to Computer Software developing (using Commodore 64 with cassette tapes) and after some years with top software companies in Munich (Germany), consequently started my own business.

I'm a Mac-guy since the beginning of the Apple Macintosh, before that I used MS-DOS, MVS, VMS, VM, Cobol and others to control IBM and NEC mainframes.

At the beginning I was involved in System Operating and System Programming, later moved to Application Programming.

Spent some years using IBMs AS, the first 4th generation development language and later programmed in HyperTalk, AppleScript, RealBasic and RealStudio.

Right now my favourite tool is
Xojo to compile cross-platform for mainly iOS and OSX, but also for Windows and Linux.

I have been a part time teacher of Computer Science for 2 years at primary and high school level, using Linux, Windows and OSX. Now I offer
Basic Help courses to the local public.

I have a Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science teacher qualification (UK), the Harvard certification "Leaders of Learning" (US) and also have diplomas as Specialist Counsellor (UK) and
Mediation Teacher (US).

My
apps are available at the Apple App Store and at this website." - Nic Kolbe
